Biosolids / Sludge Testing
Biosolids (sewage sludge) is a bi-product of the wastewater treatment process. The terms ‘biosolids’ and ‘sewage sludge’ are often used interchangeably.
It’s estimated that 50% of the biosolids produced in the US are used in agriculture. The requirements for their disposal and/or use in agriculture falls under the EPA’s 40CFR Part 503 regulations and must be met even if a disposal permit has not been issued.
